Pi Day 2011

This coming Monday, March 14th the Math Society and the Computer Science Society will be celebrating Pi Day.

From Wikipedia: “Pi Day is a holiday commemorating the mathematical constant π (pi).”

The festivities will be in rooms 3150 (Java Lab) and 3125 (MSLC) of Erie Hall at 1:59 pm. These will include free pi(e), a pi memorization contest, a pie eating competition, as well as songs about pi and other mathematical goodness.

The Math Society will be taking the opportunity to sell T-shirts at the pi-day festival.

Come on out next Monday and have slice of Pi!
